Frequently Asked Dental Questions – Gahanna, OH
Answering All of Your Dental Questions
Do you have questions about any treatments that we offer, dental insurance coverage, or other dental-related concerns? We want you to have the information necessary to make the best decisions for your smile, which is why we’ve answered some of the most common questions that we receive from our patients below. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please reach out to us directly.
How often should I see my dentist?
Dr. Buller and Dr. Odenweller agree with the American Dental Association: patients of all ages should have a routine checkup at least twice a year. This gives our team the chance to clean your teeth much deeper than you can at home, and it allows us to catch and treat small dental issues early.
Can you treat my children? What about my elderly parents?
We’re happy to answer yes to both questions! We like to say that we can treat everyone from age 3-103, and we mean it! We offer child-oriented treatments like dental sealants, as well as a multitude of restorative options for older patients.
I have a chipped/cracked/broken tooth. What should I do?
You should make an appointment to see us immediately! Over time, damaged teeth can lead to a multitude of other problems. We can fix them with fillings and dental crowns, so if you have teeth that need a little help, don’t hesitate to come see us!
Can you replace my missing teeth?
We certainly can, and we have a multitude of ways we can do it. We can use dental bridges or dentures depending on how many teeth you need replaced, and they are two of the most reliable restorations available. However, for a more permanent solution, we can also offer you dental implants, which have been long considered the “gold standard” for teeth replacement because they recreate the tooth from root to crown, providing you more security and a natural appearance at the same time.
Can you make my teeth look whiter?
We can! We can offer you a take-home whitening kit so you can brighten your smile on your own time. Our kits are custom made for each patient and use much stronger products than store bought whitening treatments, which means you’ll get a better, more consistent result every time.
Can you replace my old, metal fillings?
Traditional metal fillings can really stick out in a person’s smile, which is why we always try to use tooth-colored fillings. They can be shaded to match the natural color of your teeth, and they even do a better job of holding them together! If you have old metal fillings, we can replace them with this much more aesthetically pleasing option.
Will you take my dental insurance?
We will always take your dental insurance. In fact, we’ll also file your claims for you, and our team will work directly with your provider to make sure that you get the most out of your benefits.
